Class 321 and Class 360?

Postby ThatYorkshireman on Tue Nov 01, 2011 4:35 pm

Is anyone working on a Class 321 or 360? they would be the perfect trains for the crouch valley line (amazing route!).

I don't think I've seen any public comments to say that one or the other is being made, but no doubt if they are needed for a route that is made (usually a payware one) then they'll surface from somebody. :)

Oovee I believe are working on a class 321, it could have been seen on their website before their rebuild, no idea on a 360 though. But, when Oovee release their 313, you could make that into a 315, so you could have that, which would look okay on that branch.

MikeTrams (Meshtools) did have some pics of a 350 a while ago, not seen anything of a 360.

A 321 would be music to my ears but we would need somewhere to run it.

I wonder if we could convince oovee or Thomson to make one? They already have the basic body shell from the 150 or 455.

I know people will say theres no route for it but (apologies shameless plug coming up.....) my Crouch Valley 2 route has been downloaded 3100 times with no correct stock for it.

If a 321 was released for £11.99 and 3100 people downloaded it thats £37000!!!

Surely that should tempt someone? And version three runs to Ipswich so the 360 would be good.

A "Dusty Bin" would be good, though even better a Class 304/305 or 310/312.

Definitely worth £11.99 for a model with decent physics, sounds etc.

If we had a 321 it could easily be a 320 variant for WCML North. ( or West Yorkshire Metro etc. ) ?

You don't really see 320's on the services through Glasgow Central Low Level. Still very much in the hands of 318s or 334s, though some of them are meant to be transferring to Argyle line services this year.
Trying to recreate the 70s & 80s in Railworks.

From what I've seen of what people run on various lines I don't think a 320 would look that much out of place.
( and I just love the earlier Strathclyde PTE orange & black with my all time favourite EMU being the un-refurbished 318. :P )
